commitment and reputation for delivering quality products is well established throughout the aerospace industry. The capacity and capability for production of conventional aerospace structures include a variety of metal forming techniques, automated riveting processes, 5-axis waterjet cutting of materials in both the flat and formed state and the welding of complex metal systems. Aeronca’s primary area of expertise is in the production of engine exhaust components and airframe assemblies that require the application of a variety of these capabilities. Aeronca also has 5-axis composite filament winding capabilities that are used to produce close-tolerance tubes for critical aerospace applications.
has the equipment and skill sets required to take on large, complex programs that require a complete manufacturing support system. Engineering, planning, tooling, manufacturing engineering, material control and quality assurance systems are all in place to supplement an experienced workforce. Because Aeronca is already qualified to most government and major aircraft manufacturer’s specifications and because Aeronca is certified to AS9100 and holds NADCAP certifications for special processes, start up and initial delivery of complex structures can be made to meet the tight schedules of today’s aerospace customers.
The manufacturing facility has a wide range of metal forming capabilities including hydraulic bulge forming, roll and expansion forming and light press forming. Machining capabilities include 3 and 5-axis machines including lathe equipment capable of turning large diameter parts for engine exhausts. Aeronca’s welding department routinely works with materials such as titanium alloys, aluminum as well as nickel based and other super alloys. An experience work force is capable of performing assembly operations on the most complex aero-structures.
